Global Cash Card

We procured Global Cash Card from the Dubai Hills Mall branch. On our first day in Paris we got mugged and our entire bagpack snatched that had my wallet with my cards.

I immediately called up emirates nbd to block my cards. As per them they DID NOT BLOCK MY GLOBAL CASH CARD. THEY SAID IT IS mastercard's responsibility. I called up Mastercard

They said it is Emirates NBD's responsibility to block the card.

For 2 days i kept going back and forth on phone calls and there was no reply from any party. Finally a customer care executive from ENBD told me after 2 days to call up Mastercard customer care helpline number in the UK. They understood my problem and blocked my card. Till then some amount had been used by the thief.

When i send all supportive documents along with the police report to Mastercard, they replied that since i did not have the card blocked immediately, they will not reimburse me the money. This is so wrong. Firstly, how is a resident of Dubai who has procured a card from Dubai supposed to know that I neeed to call up the UK number to block the card.

Secondly, both Emirates NBD and Mastercard should have my call logs to prove that we called both the parties within 45 min of us getting mugged in Paris. The date and time of the mugging is mentioned in the Police report.

But anyhow, I am never getting trapped in the fancy words of bankers to purchase any kind of card from them.

Highly traumatised after the mugging and highly disappointed with both Emirates NBD and Mastercard for their poor customer service; especially the lie Mastercard mentioned in their email that i contacted mastercard 2 days after the mugging!!!

My experience has been terrible! Ive worked at the same location for 11 months and had access to my pay stubs on the global cash card website, but for some reason they recently denied me access to the site.

It said they couldnt verify my information all of a sudden and I wasnt able to access my paystubs. I called them/wisely about 10 times, wasted about 2-3 hours total, and kept getting the same run around of talk to your employer to get your pay stubs or go to this website and do this and when that didnt work it was always you need to get that from your employer which was a straight up lie because Ive had access to all of my information on their site for almost a year. NO ONE. I repeat NO ONE at their call center/customer service number has a clue what they are doing or how to solve problems and will ONLY talk over you and try to shut you up!!!

HOWEVER I finally called and said I was a manager from my work and calling for an employee (myself) and needed to speak with one of their managers, and MIGUEL whom I spoke with for a mere 10 minutes, solved my issue no problem.

So if you HAVE to contact them, ask for MIGUEL, or ask to speak with a manager from the very start!!! I cannot say enough amazing things about Miguel though; hes the freaking real MVP and needs a raise/to be the president of the company, because whatever theyre doing over there right now is trash!!!
